Author Topic: Why I hate stupid Parents  (Read 6895 times)

On the 24th, I was at Gamestop with my Dad. I notice a 6 or 7 year old at the XBOX360 games. I'm thinking, "Oh, he's probably getting Sonic Generations or Kinectimals. Nope. He gets DEAD ISLAND. DEAD loving ISLAND. I'm not even allowed to get CoD even though I'm twice his age. His Mom approved of it, probably thinking, "OHH MY LITTLE BOBBY CAN COUNT PIRATES ON AN ISLAND.

/discuss horrible parenting

EDIT: Today I was at Gamestop also. (Getting MK7) I saw a 9 year old get like 20 DS games. Holy stuff. I get a DS game like every 3 months. Much less 20 in one day. There was also some really dumb old lady picking up PS3 games, walking around the store looking at it, then she puts it with the Wii games. And, when my Dad and I were driving away, I saw a 10 year old girl trip on the curb. I laughed a bit. She screamed so loud it was like a jet engine being raped.

your just jealous he got a good game

Eh, long as the kid isn't a psychopathic twat I'm fine with this kind of stuff.

Hmm I could swear I have seen this post before...

Also, I love my parents. Never really experienced bad parenting.

Too loving many parents don't care or think "it's just a game"

Pfft. what world have you been in? besides that is not even that bad. I was raised around violent stuff like that and I turned out pretty alright, I don't run around with knives or guns or even own any.

i don't really enjoy my mom's parenting but my dad understands that we can mature and actually do things without them affecting our lives in the future (i.e. playing assassins creed will automatically make you ultra super assassin extraordinaire!!!).

EDIT: One thing I saw in Gamestop was a 7 or 8 year old looking a XBOX games, I was thinking, "Oh, he's probably getting Tony Hawk Ride, or Sonic Generations". Nope, he picks out Dead Island. Then I was thinking, "Oh lordy, his mama gonna give him a spank!", but when his Mom saw it, she LET HIM BUY IT. She was probably thinking, "OOH! THIS WILL TEACH MY LITTLE TIMMY ABOUT ISLAND STUFF! LIKE COUNTING SHIPS AND PIRATES! HURPYDERP". I told my Dad and he was thinking the same thing I was.

my parents are extreme christians
so my choice of game is pretty damn limited

Yes. I wanted to make a new topic.

Same here.

It's true.
I don't run around with knives or guns or even own any.
I have about three pocketknives, but I'm not like "HURR DURP. STABBY FAMILY!"

They must pay attention to christwire :cookieMonster:

Well if your parents won't let you have COD but allow you to have three pocketknives, than they are hypocrites.

Hell, the only thing close to a shooter I have is Brink.

Only psychopathic freaks will actually become murderers from those kind of games.
Anyone with common sense knows "Hey, it's just a game."
I honestly don't have a problem with it, I'm only happy that I grew up with a lot of nostalgic N64 games and later at the age of 6-7 nostalgic gamecube games.

Still, I think that they should pick better games to grow up with.

i am 11 and i have plenty of M games now this is because i

A: get research about the game that i want and see if its any good
B: i see they reasons why its M and make sure its ok
and
C: i make sure its ok with them!

almost forgot this

: i am really mature with what i play/buy i may be young but i am actully very mature!
