give all the ram to minecraft, drop 500 dirt at the spawn of a server, and laugh as everyone complains of lag.

What the forget are you playing, and how many instances are you running that you need that much?
I've run up to 4 clients for various MMOs all at the same time, some of them needing virtual machines to get around anti-hack software.
So 4 clients (each using at least half a gig) and 3 virtual machines (whatever that uses) on 4gb without a problem.

i run skyrim on max settings
200 FPS :)
I dont remember how many gigs i have, but its hell of a lot.

God damnit people. More ram does NOT equal better performance.
You could have 4gigs or loving 32gigs. Performance will be the same unless you're using software that requires absurd amounts of memory (I think video editing can be a good example)

That said there is differences in types of ram.
Clock frequency and architecture and whatever else. You will see some performance differences between those.

I'm pretty sure it matters.

Holy stuff does that really work?
What? The 4369 gigs of ram, or the website?
They both work.
