Still not that easy. A set wage is more what I'm talking about. With a set wage, there is no true motivation to work, and technology production would decline drastically. There goes your self repairing robots.
People don't work at all lol. It's an allowance not a wage. No one has to do anything because the robots provide for us all.

No matter how many advanced "robots" we make to do everything can do anything as accurate as a human. You can't just replace flesh and blood with a machine. Humans HAVE to work to keep civilization going. This is a terrible idea Mr. CEO of Skynet.

Everybody always likes to say "Communism looks good on paper but doesn't work in real life" without realizing that Capitalism is exactly the same. There's no such thing as a good economic system. They all screw the general population over time. People need to stop acting like they can fix all of our problems, no matter what were screwed.

There actually is no true functioning political or economic system. Nations rise and fall and only short times of peace can be acquired.

PAX ROMANA BITCH

This is what you people are basically describing about the robots doing all our jobs.

PAX ROMANA BITCH
That was very short anyway. What I'm saying is that you can't keep it up forever.

I don't see this happening for a long time.
Probably not, it lasted about as long as the United States has existed.

so then after a few generations, all knowledge would be lost and we'd all be fat handicaps sitting in our housing getting fed by robots... i think ill pass

I could see something like Doomonkey described happening in the far far future when we're better able to manage resources and the general population, but now it unfortunately won't happen. :(
Governments have slowly but surely been devolving to achieve incredible levels of incompetence. We today can't even imagine how handicapped politics will be after we die.

Pretty much.

When we had to make a utopia up in my English class last year I said that everyone sits on a couch and is pumped full of drugs while robots do the work the end. Or the alternative was the matrix.

It's okay because I will seize complete control one day and re instill real conservative ideals into government again.
