I'm a canadian, and when you grow up in Canada, MANLINESS IS KEY, In a town like mine, nobody likes gays because of their lack of masculinity, AND THINK OF THIS, telling your kids, especially when their teens, that you LOVE a show made for little girls and still watch it, creep or what.
