Why are the forums so addictive

No seriously, I see myself glued to the forums all the time.
It's 3:30AM now, and I keep saying 'just 1 more thread'.
How come that a bunch of slightly-above-average people can just make a bunch of threads that contain so much interesting stuff?
As for our huge arguments about whatnot, I really don't feel any worse about theforums because of those.
Somehow, I just keep coming back, and going away, with the feeling that I had fun here.
