Author Topic: How do you usually play?  (Read 2001 times)

i switch constantly for some reason

i like to know EVERYTHING around me

this actually has come to the point that, if i can't go third person, i turn around every so often to make sure i didn't pass anything important / check for people behind me

on another note, i smell a chain ban

i switch constantly for some reason

i like to know EVERYTHING around me

I didn't get what everyone was saying until I looked at the poll, lol.
I use both, but mainly 3rd person.

How so? This isn't some stupid "hurr durr OP is handicapped". It's just that they use his quote to express their opinion.
Would be different if they used "otto-san is right" and then the normal "x is right about x being right".

You can't go 'second person', as it is (referred to by wikipedia) a "narrative mode in which the protagonist or another main character is referred to by employment of second-person personal pronouns and other kinds of addressing forms".

Meaning to go second person, you have to have everything you do addressed to you by another character.

And I always stay in third person, except when I'm building or aiming.

So playing blindfolded while being told what to do by a person watching your character in third person?
Totally.

No, like say there's a point where the story, instead of being controlled by actions and speech, it is narrated by a character addressing you.

As an example, "You walked into my secret laboratory, and the sentries attacked you." This sentence is in second-person.

Eh, I see it as you having no control over your character but whatever floats your boat ike. ;)

Hell that sounds kind of fun.

Depends on what I am trying to do.

When I'm trying to activate a brick or aim I switch to first.
