It's a metaphor rather than a cheap loveist joke, but i was going to go deeper into that, the media effects very, very heavily on women, a book called "little princess syndrome" explains a lot about it, it's about how women are practically being raised thinking they're all going to be superstars, but end up with a lot of "responsibility" instead.
We live in a world where the media says woman have to be perfect in order to get a man. You ever see a TV show where a sub-par woman gets with the leading man? hell no. It's the media that causes the loveism, if you ask me.

the real fix that feminists should be fighting for, is education, and programs to educate that they themselves can create. education to end loveism within society, so that the little things like pay can change.
but instead, feminists lobby to create laws to GIVE woman more, while hindering men.

I agree with education. Women's studies is a very popular class in many colleges, now.
