Author Topic: Hosting a Listen/Dedicated Server is not possible because it does not ping.  (Read 496 times)

Okay so here goes.
I used to host alot back then. I even hosted past Summer for a brief period.

But today, on the 1st January 2012, having Blockland seemingly evoluted to V20, I cannot host servers anymore. When I press "Query Internet", my server doesn't show up on the top 10 servers with less ping. Upon further investigation, I found my poor server with a Ping ---, that means it's not pinging as far as I know.
I tried port re-forwarding, disabling/enabling UPnP both in Blockland and on the router, hosting without Add-ons, uninstalling Hamachi, etc.

None of those worked. But I'm not done just yet. If anyone could help me in this dillema, it'd be great. It could be Packet Shaping from the ISP but I seriously doubt it.
Console.log is attached to the post.

Bump for more information.
This time I've enabled UPnP with the ports forwarded with "Amplified Security" disabled, the console generated another thing about UPnP.

I don't really remember seeing any of these lines about UPnP when I hosted properly last time. Usually it just initialized it and went along with it's life.

I fixed it!

Here's how you do it:
You do NOT port forward, instead you enable UPnP and you're done.

Apparently, port forwarding and having UPnP disabled didn't work for some reason. It should have, but whatever.
It's weird though, I had the ports forwarded and UPnP enabled in the old days, I never had issues.

So, if you're having the same problem, try this out.
