Uh yeah, as of a few hours ago Blue has autobanned himself from SomethingAwful with a final "panda this" sort of message.
Yeah, he was high a lot, which was cool, but he was progressively more and more of a control freak with his servers which pissed off a lot of people. Us goons like to keep a build around for a good while (this is how cool stuff like the goonstation projects happen,) and he began changing up the server almost with the tide, regrettably never hosting any saves. He also enacted a few high-profile, contraversial bans. This, combined with his already laggy servers (I regularly built while pinging in at like 1000) drove people to greener pastures so to speak.
In other words he started banning for ice creams and giggles, sorry you happened to be in the spray :p
I have a few saves, including the most recent iteration of goonstation 2, if anyone wants to see our recent uberbuild; Blue didn't release any saves with his departure though, so we've probably lost a great many good builds. Andy is taking over the role of main server (good guy) and I presume that in the next few days we'll collect what we can.
God dammit everything I write on the internet is long.
edit: oh yeah, Andy appears to be taking over the role of our main server; he's a good guy, things should settle down dramaz-wise.
