Author Topic: Good gaming laptop?  (Read 849 times)

okay so, i'm looking for a good gaming laptop, preferably between 800-1200 dollars. One that can run arma 2 with 30-40 FPS on anything between medium-high. any suggestions?

I know Jacob/Lee got a really good laptop with that price range, message him asking him about it.

Spend and extra 300(1540) for the NP8150 with and amd hd 9990 graphics card. It can play pretty much any game on ultra.

Anything below that price can't play on ultra/high on sager laptops.

$1200?  Okay!

GTX 560M
8GB RAM
Core i7 2.2 GHz
1080p screen
Dual exhaust on the back

My dad has the same design as this, but GTX460 and a slightly lower clocked i7.  Works great, haven't played on it myself but I'm sure it'll do superb.

>AMD HD 9990
>playing ultra/high settings on seriously demanding games on a laptop

Only the most outrageously expensive laptops will be able to do the highest settings on games like Battlefield 3 or Crysis 2.  Those are anywhere from $1500-$2000 and are way out of his budget.

300 bucks isn't a lot of money.

Why get i7 it's not like you'll die without it. I go with an i5 and I'm fine. But what ever floats your boat. Im pretty sure i5 is more than you need. i7 sounds like its just for bragging rights. But I'm no expert.
