Opinion post inbound!
I don't really like swimsuits. They can be nice in some cases depending on the design of it, the camera angle, or how its worn/posed, but I feel like they're overused and otherwise just used in the image to somewhat effortlessly make the subject of the image look more attractive or loveually appealing. Effortlessly not as in the effort put into drawing the image, which I always try to appreciate, but in considering the elements of the image itself to create a truly pleasing work of art.
In short, they're just a cheap way of making the girl look hotter. There's not much appeal because you always see them in swimsuits and it just becomes incredibly stale and in some cases unnecessary. Again, there are exceptions to the rule, but in general, it really isn't as appealing in my opinion as some make it out to be.
