Author Topic: using youtube as a living?  (Read 2225 times)

so, me and my friend were arguing about our opinions on famous youtubers having no jobs and using youtube as a living.

personally i find it stupid, how about you actually get a job instead of getting paid around ten cents every month?

i honestly don't get it.
what are your thoughts on this?

Total Biscuit uses Youtube as his full time job. At least I think he does. And he seems to have a lot of money.

Anyone who does any sort of vlogging as their full-time job is likely a tool.

I think it would be awesome.

Well, you know TotalBiscu-

EVERYBODY BEATS ME TO THESE THREADS

Also, I think he did say that once.

i'm fine with it if it's a younger person (i.e. around 14) considering they can't really make money until they're older.

i'm not jelly nobody likes my youtube, it's a piece of stuff to sit around like a lazy ass and just record games, or take videos off of the site itself and put them in a video and criticize them (I'M LOOKING AT YOU, RWJ friend)

it takes little to no effort to do youtube stuff unless it's like, an important film or something that you ACTUALLY PUT MONEY into, which shows you PROBABLY have a job, now doesn't it?
i've been offered money on youtube serveral times, but i'm denying it for now.

Someone's mad because the world isn't fair.

That's AdWords. It's where they put ads on your videos and give you $0.0001 for every time somebody clicks an ad.

I thought I was every time somebody viewed the ad.
I never click on ads.

Yep. Which is why everybody who has more then 1 video or whatever gets that offer. These people get paid much more.

if you use adfly you can get like 5 dollars for 10000 views of your link via click it.
