i can understand gaining money for younger people that can't acquire a job at the time, but when grown people like RWJ start making videos for money it's just disgusting.
So you wouldn't make a stuff ton of money if it was easy?

anyone who says making a living off of youtube is easy has never tried professional video making. it's more than "hurr tak camera an i say lots of random stuffs" (unless you're RWJ but he's in a different category aka tool)

the poll is 50% both ways!

potatoorgy makes videos for a living, it's very possible to make a full time job off of youtube, it is after all, a form of media that has add revenue.

I don't see why not

It kind of helps the job problem and such

it creates add revenue. if someone makes say, a 10th of a penny for every view, if they get 100,000 views, they will make 100 dollars. that's per video. TB has millions of viewers per video, most of them watching adds at the beginning, and having multiple banner adds on screen.

PhillipDeFranco makes around 200,000$/y
imo phillyd deserves it

if you get payed per video do you pay some form of income tax?

Ray William Johnson makes thousands of bucks on each video.

he should seriously kill himself. he's not talented at all and i actually find him quite annoying. he'd be the kind of person that i'd befriend, then quickly learn to hate in real life.

hey this guy should kill himself because he just acts like a tool on youtube to get money

that totally means hes the same guy in real life right?

it must not be that hard though. basically just follow a template for every log. have 'good' effects that are just used over again. like less than 4 hours a week of working lol.

i can make money off of videos if i want to tiki, i just find it stupid as a way to use money INDEPENDENTLY. if they put effort into it, then i'm okay with them, if they just do stuff like RWJ or make money off of let's plays, get out.

It doesn't take no effort at all, you need to be creative, know what people likes, or have a good personality. If it was something anyone could do with no effort, everyone would be doing it (and then it wouldn't be profitable anyways).

And yeah even though lots of the people who make money off of YouTube are stupid, the only reason people make money off of stupid stuff is that's what people are stupid enough to watch.
