Well, for some reason I acquire adminship on many servers for just showing up. Moderating is easy depending on the server, but sometimes it's debatable if my actions as a moderator are justified.
First off, I hardly ever give bans above an hour. I just don't think chat spamming requires a seven day ban. A lot of things I have to ban people for don't deserve even hourly bans imo.
Secondly, I immediately ban anyone who acts like they're a baby animal/child for at least a few minutes. To me, I cannot tolerate such stupidity. To have the chat flooded with a moron roleplaying as a baby mouse is bad enough, but when the chat is literally filled with "<SQUEEK SQUEEK> IM A MOUSE <SQUEEK> SOMEBODY WANT A MOUSE" I reach for the ban button.
But really, I just ban idiots in general. Anyone who lacks intelligence to a certain degree beware, when I'm an admin. Nobody should tolerate somebody's innate ability to be stupid.
Another thing is that I never, ever ever ban anyone I don't like. If I have a beef with somebody or I know they've done some stupid stuff in the past and they join the server, I'm not going to ban them as soon as possible. Is it wrong if I let them play in the server unless they cause problems?
Also, I don't know if I'm too helpful when it comes to certain things or not. Even with stupid questions like "how do i make myself small ike?????", I am compelled to answer by a strange force. Most of the time I'm just wasting my effort because the person asking the stupid question will either eventually be banned for not reading a rule, or not remember what I told him/her and start whining.
And lastly, is it so wrong to ban somebody immediately if they even so much as say "badmin" or "this server sucks"? It pisses me off to great extents. What's even worse is that usually when I moderate, I always play the game over moderating because I'm aiming towards having fun. Let's say I'm in a DM and I kill somebody. They call me a badmin for not doing my job and instead berate me for playing the game.
I ban the little forgeter for ten minutes. Is this wrong?
