Author Topic: Xbox won't connect to xbox live  (Read 513 times)

It's a regular xbox, not a 360, i have it plugged into my router, and it passes the all cords connected test, ip settings configured, dns resolved passes, and on the last it say xbox live not found. Any idea what i should do to fix it, i have tried resetting my routes as that is what is says to do, but it didn't work.

Original xbox's were discontinued to be able to connect to xbox live due to the servers are now being used for 360.  That may not be entirely right but I know for a fact original xbox's won't connect to live anymore.

Edit:  Why would you want that old system on xbox live anyways.

I think this only works with modded Xbox systems, though. Shouldn't be a problem if you know what you're doing.

Counter strike source xbox.

any tutorials you know of?

You'll need a game like MechAssault (not platinum hits edition) and an Action Replay (used to transfer the linux script to the xbox via memory card.) Half of these are already obtained if you've had your Xbox for a while.

Basically, you'll need to use a program like the one above. Plug your console into your router and set it to LAN mode. Do the stuff for the program. The program will then let you connect to other people using it's servers and trick your system into thinking that it's directly connecting to their system.

I used to do this with my PSP and Monster Hunter Freedom (Which only supported local LAN play, no internet play) so I could play with my friends online.

xLink doesn't require mods, btw.

Anyway, I have no clue how to get this. My Xbox justs says "Check your connection" when trying to connect.
