Author Topic: POLL: What is this type of sandwich called?  (Read 908 times)

"A sandwich that consists of a long roll of Italian or French bread, split lengthwise either into two pieces or opened in a 'V' on one side, and filled with various varieties of meat, cheese, vegetables, seasonings, and sauces."

I ask because there are like a trillion different names for it, and I'm curious as to what BLF calls it.

Hoagies are baked (broiled?) so I wouldn't count that.

Not any ones I've had...
whatever. To business! I would call that gross. I'm not a fan of subs.

Where are you from? According to my... calculations... Pennsylvania people are more likely to call the above a hoagie.
