It's my 1024x600 screen
Horribly resizes everything.

It is.
I made it on a 1024x768, looked good then.

It's more the fact that the App and inactive tab text is barely readable and the bookmarks get lost in the Blockland logo, not to mention there are way too many colors and everything is too solid

You should make an area where it's lighter so the icons don't look so awkward against the background.

I'm replacing everything except the new tab page with bricks
It's looking better

maybe the image should have a faint white over lay so you can read the app stuff.
The bricks at the top should be a colour so you can read the tabs.

I would use different colors top bar should be blue bricks lower bar should be white(or gray)

Picture should be one color plus something Blockland related in the lower right.

I tried this and it looks like stuff don't listen to me.

Maybe if it was the other way around...
