Author Topic: I just realised that TF2 F2P is bullstuff  (Read 3940 times)

My friend just mentioned to me that you could get it premium now for under a dollar. I mean, what the forget? A free hat and free premium whoopdie doo. Other people can get the entire thing which I payed full price for FOR LESS THAN A DOLLAR. WHAT THE FLIPPING forget.

End flippout here.

What are your opinions on it being free, and basically TF2 in general. I'd like to hear some rage about it becoming a hat simulator and such. But really, this is ridiculous.

What did you pay, exactly?

We got a hat, that's good enough for me..

>actually caring that tf2 is f2p
I shiggy diggy

TF2 is fine the way it is.

I paid the full $20 for it back in the day. Valve should change the method of acquiring premium, as it's unfair to those who bought the game before the change.

Yeah. You can get it premium by purchasing a weapon or item from the Mann co. store, and the Crusader's Crossbow is on sale for under a dollar. Therefore premium becomes less than a dollar. WHHHHHHHHHY.

I paid 50 cents and unlocked premium.

*gasp* 20 whole dollars?! Why, they might as well just give people free mansions now! It takes forever to get 20 dollars, even as an adult!

Oh.

Wait.

I played the beta and payed $60

Oh.

Wait.

I'm not saying 20 dollars is alot of money to lose. I'm saying it's bullstuff for a company to sell something for 20 dollars and then sell it for 95c with the exact same benefits.

Whats this, a key?
*PREMIUM*
*unlocks crate /hat
friends method of purchase in a nut shell.

gasp, you paid essentially $20, only four years ago! the horror!

i'd better send ford an angry letter because the car i paid $2999 for can now be gotten for only $2950

I'm not saying $20 is a lot of money, so stop pulling things out of your ass. I am saying that Valve stuff on everyone by lowering the price so drastically.

$5 is the smallest amount you can add to your Wallet, so TF2 effectively costs $5 unless you plan on purchasing one of the undoubtedly poor games that costs less than $4.50.

Not to mention those who paid got to play the game a lot longer and acquire skill and additional drops.
