You could skip the part with dying crew by requiring crewmembers in lightly-protected areas (bridge, for example) to wear pressurized suits.

easily done with zones

the only issue is where I would put this. Maybe in areas with windows? If that is the case then perhaps the neck should be depressurizable

... Why are you using this chat mod? The RPChat I used for Bluzone was much more simpler and had RtB prefs to toggle it on/off and set local chat distance.
