Author Topic: Why is norton 360 bad?  (Read 747 times)

Tell me bandwagoners, why is it bad?
I'd like to see you give me a legitimate reason why you (by that being yourself) dont like it, and other experiences with it.

Seriously, I am stuck using it, and I'm not going to get something "better", because so far, it's doing its job perfectly, with the odd Cpu warning here and there. I know it isnt the best, but nothing is perfect. (Suffice to say, n360 is far from it)

However, It get kind of frustrated when I see something along the lines of "norton is bad", because i can bet a fair amount of you havent used it for over 10 minutes. Whenever someone asks for help with false errors or real ones, and it's brought up, everyone immediately tells the victim to get something better. Here's a fun fact, not all of us can.

It's bad because it's terrible.

i always got that fake version where they act like Norton and give you a virus you pay for the service and you get more virus and they remove it and put another back in

It spams pop-ups everywhere and costs money. It costs money.

uninstall it and download a free one
???
literal profit

Trend Micro is bad.
It's like a virus in itself.

Thats why my mom went old school and bought it from Costco or something. lul

because it's not microsoft security essentials (which is completely free)

It's a loving virus protection. No rivalry needed.
"OHMAHGODD YOU USEE NORTRON1!!! LOOL AVG IS BETTTER! :DDDD"
Give me a break.

I've deleted every possible trace of Norton

AND IT KEEPS

AVG and Norton spam pop-ups.

It's controlware, just like iTunes and Realtime player is.

It always keeps trying to push itself back into your computer because that's what the corporation wants.  They want you to keep using their dank-ass product.

Norton blows, it's a resource hog and like almost every other stuffty anti-malware software, it'll constantly sit in the background and yell about the most insignificant things like a Downs child in your living room looking out the window yelling every time he sees a bright red car.

It spreads so that it can steal your dataz.

I like Norton, it gives me a pop up once every two weeks telling me the something along the lines of "Scan is complete, click here to see results (Lists numbers of problems with a clickable link here)"

In all honesty you probably shouldn't need an anti-virus software, though it's nice to have just in case.

This.
Resource hog, and with earlier versions (not sure about current versions), if you didn't buy it, it would still scan and tell you what was wrong but would make you buy it to fix something, and would bug you until you either bought it or managed to uninstall it.

You're forgeted cunt

It's one of the best.

Seriously, 3 of the 4 good free AVs are better than Norton.
MSE > AVG > Avast.
Avira sucks. False positives, false positives everywhere!
