Author Topic: Next Gen Console Emulation?  (Read 1081 times)

I'm not posting anything illegal, I'm just wondering if there are any emulators for newer consoles like the PS3/360.

Is it possible? If so, is there a download that isn't infested with virus'?

NeoGeo Games

It's not possible, and highly illegal.

But many software with emulator like software.

unless the PS3 is completely abandoned and no new games are being made or sold it is illegal

no
just buy the game on PC

I'm not seeking to download any games illegally, I own all my PS3 games along with the console. I was just wondering if the resource was there to simplify the process of recording console gameplay.

yes
capture card
I have an HD PVR but like I said, I'd like a simplified process lol. Figured an emulator would have worked.

So why do you guys think emulators are illegal?
They are not (as long as you do it right).

Emulators themselves are not illegal.

Using them to play pirated ROMs is illegal.

well the fact with emulators you can get games free

ps3 games aren't freeware or abandonware yet

it is pirating unless you own it
but there is probably some loophole that will get you arrested

it is like if you were to download minecraft or any other game for free

emulators arent the problem
it is the ROMs

Quite sure no (simple) emulator exists for these anyway. With current generation consoles, it's better to just call it all illegal. PCs can't emulate consoles well anyway, they have stuffloads of protection in them nowadays and generally don't function well on a computer platform.

I tried to emulate Gamecube (games I already own in physical form, ya nosey dinguses). Pikmin ran alright-ish, but had crackly audio. Super Mario Sunshine's audio didn't want to work after the file-select dialogue.

Actually, I know there's Wii emulators. PewDiePie uses it to play Ju-On: The Grudge.
