Author Topic: Need help finding a sound file.  (Read 473 times)

I was playing some gm_Lair today, and I heard a very familiar sound. It sparked a childhood memory of mine. Turok Evolution.
Anywho, can someone find me this sound?
It's an alarm sound, that constantly plays during the mission "Belly of the Beast"

It's fairly quiet, but you should hear it past the commentators voice, because it goes off every second.

If I'm thinking of the same game, I never got into it. I think I wanted a Turok game I played elsewhere and either got a different one or couldn't figure out how to get to the only part I played. But for some reason I still like watching videos of old games... Although I'm not watching all 43 videos up to that one, and any after it.

Not that that's the point of the topic, just my input on the game and N64 games. Etc. :)

You can open gm_Lair's files and you should be able to find the sound.
If its JUST a .bsp, you're out of luck

It's just the .bsp as far as I know.

I've definitely heard that sound file used in other things.

I decided to try and find the sound myself.
All sounds are compressed into 7 packs of .tre files.
Look for some file opener on google for it.
ughghgh

*fml

I then tried to just rip it off the map by recording, then extracting the audio.
ugh, source games need better volume customization.
