Judging your mutual age-assumption, I can already tell that you are either 9-15, or you are a not-so-bright adult.

Good try though.

Iban is actually like 21 or something and you're going to have to get used to his handicapation because he loves coming into threads on his high horse, picking fights, trying to seem like the smartest human being on Earth, and talk down to you. It has been like this for a couple years.

This is because of a couple reasons, although mostly because his life sucks (or has always sucked) so he uses the internet as a medium to vent his anger from real life towards people like you.

Although I disagree with what you said in the OP, and so do most of the people in this thread, I didn't find the need to come into this thread just to start stuff with you and assume I know about your persona life lmao

what.

no really if you think life was better 50 years ago you're dumb.

what.

no really if you think life was better 50 years ago you're dumb.

How would YOU know?!

if you have this knowledge...wouldn't this make YOU a vampire?

aha GOT YOU iban

prepare to die, monster!

engarde!

what.

no really if you think life was better 50 years ago you're dumb.
Life wasn't better, technology wasn't better ,but that wasn't the point.
The amounts of idiots in first-world countries are growing bigger, and not since the population is getting bigger.

That's because:

Technology = less effort = less need for education = idiots = rednecks

Even so, for those of us who DO have an IQ above 10, the world is better now that it was because of technology. Remove the tech and we may as well kill ourselves.

Technology = less effort = less need for education = idiots = rednecks

Technology = people who like to play with technology = people who know more about technology = people creating more technology.

I mean, honestly. The average person in off topic knows how to build a computer, and most know more than that.

So basically what I got from that is because people have a lot of technology they are rednecks.....that make SO MUCH sense. Technology gives us a need for a better education to understand the technology that we use, everyday we attempt to go beyond the boundaries of the known in order gain more knowledge of the unknown, learning in the process. The only time when worldwide average IQ will decrease massively is when eveything becomes automated and all we have to do is sit back in a chair and talk to accomplish every single task that we complete today.

Improved technology, society, and culture is increasing the ability for those with low genetic fitness to survive, including those with low intelligence.

Improved technology, society, and culture is also increasing the intelligence of any given person of X genetic disposition to intelligence through superior education and nutrition.

The rate of the positive force is greater than the rate of the negative force above it. People are getting measurably smarter for the time being. Don't trust your intuition when it comes to things like this. There's lots of fairly objective data out there for you to find.

Here's a great quote from Civ 5:
Quote from: James Russel Lowell
Things always seem fairer when we look back at them, and it is out of that inaccessible tower of the past that Longing leans and beckons.

You're talking about there being more rednecks now, you do know lynchings still happened in the 50s. Also I'm sure if you were an atheist and you were murdered not many people would care. The past is awful, our lives are continuously getting better. It may not look like its getting better if you look at some things but overall the quality of life is improving.

Why do people always thing they're above average and look down on most people because they thing they are a genius.

In the 50's, children were more disciplined, and they learned more, and there wasn't that much rednecks. 60 years later, there is a massive amount of rednecks. If the intelligence level keeps declining within the next few centuries, do you think that we will all have negative number IQs?
This is entirely false.

That's because:
Technology = less effort = less need for education = idiots = rednecks
Because we totally don't need smart people to make and use the technology, and rednecks totally have their trailers full of the latest tech.

Improving technology will cause us to depend on it, and causes us to connect our lives to it. The search for casual pleasure through recreational drugs and loosened loveual standards will also cause us to be pleasure seekers. With this want for pleasure, leaders who we believe are great will start a revolution. It however will not be political or economic, but socially, in the hearts and minds of every man. By making this pleasure more accessible through new technology and redefined social standards, the leaders will win the full trust of the hearts and minds of the people. People will allow themselves to be controlled, and conditioned by these leaders, as long as their lives are full of pleasure. There will be no seemingly trivial things such as religion or family, for this can cause social instability. The leaders will condition you, from birth to death, and determine your place in society. You will always have the teachings in your mind, and you will follow them on instinct. However, if you step out of line, others who hold these teachings more dear will put you back in line, or report you. Just have fun, enjoy how it feels, and don't think about it too much.

I found almost nothing relevant to ths thread.

I found almost nothing relevant to ths thread.

It's referring to a book, and it's basically stating people will become stupid tools for pleasure
