I got nominated for the congressional youth leadership council by my science teacher because of my academic scoring and my "leadership qualities".
apparently I'm the 2012 nominee (not going to say season because of forum)
I'm googling around and (from websites that haven't censored due to the protest) it seems that it's legit, and it's completely a real thingie
only problem is it's a few thousand and I don't feel like going over
(and you have to wear formal attire; bitch please)
anyone get nominated before or something?
I'm not going to go as this seems sort of unhelpful for the most part (few thousand dollars for a week or so)
