That is true, lol. All the teachers never give you copies of the test though, or study guides, and most of them are open-book and open-note tests. At least that is what my brothers have told me.

Congratulations.

The thing about listening to music during tests doesn't make sense to me, though.
Is that listening to music as in, they let the teacher or what have you put a music CD on, or are you allowed to listen to MP3's?
Because it sounds ridiculously easy to put a recording of answers and things to remember on an MP3 player and listen to that during the test.

Warning - while you were typing a new reply has been posted. You may wish to review your post.
-snip-
couldn't you just record the answers and play that in the test?
Damn it! >:c

I like how I post this on trying to tell people this, and it just ends up me getting flamed by saying haha.

Good job Blockheads, for ruining my day once again.
Yeah, right, blame your bad behavior on us.
Because it's our fault that you're an social starfish.
This bullstuff is what we have to take all the time.

It is headphones or earbuds, with an MP3, and read my last comment.

I can't understand why you people can't just leave these small things alone after being explained over 3 times. 3/4s of you need to go back to kindergarten and learn to read.

Game design and graphics design would be so awesome.

I don't understand what open-book and open-note means.
And surely, even if you're not given a study guide, you still know what the test is on?
So then you can study by yourself?
And then record your own notes and answers and use those in the test?

Wow, you are really good about boasting you being on a gaming school (only a very small percentage of game devs go successful), that the school is so cool and stuff to let you listen to music during tests (aka not severe, and thus lower graded school) and how you laughed about a girl you knew crying.

richard.

iirc open-book means that you can use the lesson book or something
basically meaning you don't have to memorize everything because you'll have a book about it all

Aka this is what they usually apply at lower grade (we call it 'profession' translated literally) schools because it's more about practical knowledge then it is about actual knowledge.

actually cant believe you guys are going ballistic over 'haha'.

'Heh'*

So, it's not really a test if you're copying out of your book or directly from notes then.
It's just... answering questions via making more notes.

The only time I've ever done a test "open-book", was when doing some mock exam-questions with my notes for practice for an actual examination.

As TheArmyGuy said, a test that's open-book doesn't sound like it's for intelligent people at all.
It's almost as if you're not clever enough to actually properly learn something in the first place.

'Heh'*
No, he first put "haha", then changed it to 'heh', because people found 'haha' to be too offensive.
