Author Topic: The USA is gone  (Read 5748 times)

With the NDAA and SOPA we have now paved the way for the Great American Police State.
I personally believe that all those who have passed these laws that fundamentally overwrite everything that was important in the constitution to be arrested and put on public trail; as traitors of the nation.
Furthermore I am INCREDIBLY pissed at the ignorance shown by the American people to let the NDAA pass without so much as a gasp.

We as a nation have done nothing in the recent years but further spotlight our own failings in upholding the very meaning the country was founded upon. Freedom. We have taken away the rights of other nations, force them to follow our customs and kill them when they don't, and now even the citizens of this nation, which the government is meant to PROTECT are at risk. Our very free will is at risk.

*Note: I am aware the NDAA was introduced earlier, what makes it worse now is they have removed the clause protecting US citizens.

They aren't laws yet. Calm down.

There are so many damn topics about this
two of which are on the first page

holy forget it actually passed?
It was quickly passed under our noses while we were celebrating the new year.  President Obama signed it into effect, and unfortunately most people don't know about it either.

They aren't laws yet. Calm down.
The NDAA is.

holy forget it actually passed?
Yeah Obama signed it in. I used to support him, even somewhat through our bullstuff involvement with the Ghadaffi stuff, but I guess I should have listened to those extremist republicans who claimed him to be the next fascist dictator.

all respect for ladios gone
way to overreact buddy

If they try to make USA a police state, I say let them try. They're too stupid and old to figure out what their exact agenda is, and will no doubt fail just like SOPA and all the other dumb bills.

Those accusations are a bit huge to make for politicians, Republicans shouldn't be criticizing anything about anyone to begin with lol.

If you fly over here to Washington DC and protest I'd try my hardest to join you.  I'm tired of this stuff just as much as you are, and I'm really not going to let this country become a horrible, corrupt "nation".

I think as of this year, we can't call the United States of America the "land of the free" anymore.

Someone needs to give our government a nice kick in the ass for these unbelievable laws they're trying to pass.

what exactly will the NDAA allow them to do?

ndaa cannot arrest us citizens, just sayin.

Might as well. We're fat and in debt deeper than 'dem deep see trenches.

what exactly will the NDAA allow them to do?
If the government thinks you're suspicious, they are free to identify you as a terrorist and detain / interrogate / use lethal force against you, no questions asked and without due process (AKA getting a trial, a basic right of our country).

ndaa cannot arrest us citizens, just sayin.
Quote from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Defense_Authorization_Act_for_Fiscal_Year_2012#Indefinite_detention_without_trial:_Section_1021
An amendment to the Act that would have explicitly forbidden the indefinite detention without trial of American citizens was rejected by the Senate.[19]
