Author Topic: Chrisbot6's Adventure Island Deathrun  (Read 689 times)

I've always looked at deathruns and seen many things that can be improved. Scenery, for example, and pathways. Most deathruns only have a single linear path of traps, no shortcuts and no secrets. I aimed to change much of that when I began this project with a few friends last weekend.

Story:
The story is that some explorers were sailing by on a boat and saw the island. Recognising it as a lost island from old maps, they steered the ship towards it... and got stuck in a reef at the end of a pier. Now with plenty of sea gods trying to kill them, all they want to do is get away.

Pictures:

Note: These are from different stages of development, I kept adding things

Stage 01: The Pier

Stage 03: The Bridge
I don't have any pictures of Stage 02: The Caves right now, i'll try to get some for later.

Server Status:
I'm not using server statuses any more because when a project dies I can't take them down. Just join if you see the server.

I lie how you gave it a theme other than grey stuff. Nice.

Props for theming it and not doing what everyone else is doing.

Thanks. :D

This is probably what future deathruns should be like. The good thing about the normal grey deathrun is that it's hardly any work, but it looks terrible.

Oh yeah, if you're the type who likes things hard, there's a path that you will love loads.

I added a forth stage, and changed the shortcut
