With all this stuff about stupid American bills trying to destroy the internet, let's look back at a stupid Canadian bill trying to destroy Quebec.
This bill was created in the 1977 and for some stupid reason it is still in effect today. Or if it isn't it was abolished VERY recently. You see, Canada's official languages are English and French. And the majority of the population speaks English. However, in the province of Quebec, the vast majority speak French. Bill 101 was put in place to "protect the French minority." It made French the official language of Quebec, so the majority if not all the schools taught in French, signs would either have to be in French or have both French and English. But the English text could not be larger than the French. Many signs were changed, some smaller things like removing English apostrophes, but some businesses had to change their names entirely. The few English speakers in Quebec have protested this bill ever since it's creation, but I have no idea if they still are, but it was a stupid bill then and it's a little better now, but it's still stupid.
TL;DR Quebec's master plan to separate.
yeah that's not very long, but whatever
