Author Topic: Why did you buy Blockland?  (Read 3667 times)

Three Reasons:

1. My friend told me about it and it looked appealing to me after I saw what he built.

2. I've always loved Lego, But I've never had the right bricks to build what I want.

3. I was sick of the demo version.

And the reason I still play is:

Blockland owns me.

It is because hardly anybody joins freebuilds or anything like that.
No wonder.

double post sorry

I bought it because I had 20 bucks in birthday money to spend.
it was fun,the server I joined bareley had any noobs.
But look at it now.

Several reasons:

A) I played the demo and fell in love with the game pretty much instantly
B) I'd spent nearly £150 on LEGO in the past. £12 (2007 conversion) seemed like a fair deal for infinite bricks
C) No matter how much real LEGO you buy, you never have enough of the colour brick you want. Painting bricks is satisfying
D) You can't blow up plastic bricks. You can nuke pixels
E) I used to play with things I made in real life, but only ever with a single person, sometimes two. Now I can play with up to [insert Kalphiter's stats here] and do pretty much anything.
F) Save, Load...

Because Roblox sucked.
No kidding.

Because Flaw showed me it and it seemed fun.

I was searching for a Lego Game, called digital designer on youtube, to see other people's creations, and then, I saw "My awesome House in Blockland" (I think that was the video), and when I watched it, I was fully in love.

Bought it a month later.

Am I one of those werid forgets who bought the game to build?

Most popular servers are, RPs, Poorly made DM's, Death Races, and every damn game under the sky other than Blockland.

Last time I saw a good Themebuild was when MotE hosted theirs.

Now the people who read this are probably the people who don't need to, there is a largish amount of people who build and want to build. But I'm sick of waiting alone on my server with the beginning of a freebuild to have one person arrive and leave because it isn't one of the genres I mentioned before.

I share your opinions.
I enjoy a good building server, but it's rare to find one. The word "freebuild" usually involves default builds and large amounts of spam, so I've stopped visiting them. I usually build off-line.

On a related note: there should be an in-game server preview like the one on the frontpage of blockland.us. That way you could find good servers much easier, especially those with only 1 or 2 players on them.

I got the demo and thought it was the funnest game I've ever played.

Bro showed it to me because he knew I was pretty much into simulation games and lego, but I didn't care for it because I thought it looked too advanced and that it took too much time to build and such.. also had a The Sims period.

Watched bro playing on Diggy's server and thought that cityrpgs looked really fun.
Connected with bro's key and had my first bl experience on that server.
He later gave his key to me and bought himself a new one.

Because I couldn't get it free  :cookieMonster:
Just kidding, I found it randomly, and now I am unable to stop playing.

Muzzles56 introduced me to it and I thought it was fun.

I bought it, because I wanted too, duh.

Because europe.

...and my friend told me to. c:

I was watching Youtube videos when the ad popped up. It looked extremely cool, and my birthday was soon, so I got money and bought it.

Fun Fact: My registration date is the same as my 12th Birthday.
