Author Topic: Anyone know where i can get a nice Dvorak Keyboard?  (Read 705 times)

one less than $15 plox

if you dont know, this is the layout for dvorak.

Why would you want that.

I really hope you're not planning on playing games on that.

Why would you want that.

because it would increase typing ten fold if you retaught yourself using the simplier keyboard dvorak.

qwerty was made so you had to move your fingers around way to often.

I really hope you're not planning on playing games on that.

you can remap the controls to be <AOE which is the same place as the WASD keys

it's called changing controls in the game bro

Its probably more simple because it puts more popular letters closer together

That's definitely wrong.

Nice try though. It's obviously how well you know the keyboard that really counts.

nope chuck testa. using a qwerty keyboard your fingers have to go over the keyboard more to hit the correct keys, while as Slayer said, putting more common letters closer together so you can stop reaching across your keyboard

Like I said, I grew up with a Qwerty keyboard, I'm aware of why it exists the way it does, but what I'm saying is that you type only as fast as your brain can mentally remember where the keys are, and then finding them with good hand positioning.

Edit: I'd like to apologize actually. I read a bit on Wikipedia about the fastest typer in the world, and at a staggering 200+ WPM she used the Dvorak keyboard.
