Our internet is usually good. I would get 40-80 ping in a NA match of CS:S. When ever someone downloads. Even 1 thing, the internet dies. My dad downloads hundreds of gigabytes a week. I can almost never play games. Browsing the internet is slow, and having the stufftiest pc in the house (the best computer is my sister's i5 laptop) doesn't help anything. My sister is worse. She downloads about 10-50gb a day, every day.

How can I get them to stop downloading so much? I reach about 1-2gb a day, and there is no cap. I've downloaded a 4gb file in 1 hour.

I don't use IE, so I wouldn't know.
I use a Firefox variant. I really don't have any major problems with this computer. It's a given that I can't play games, but oh well. It's what I have to work with.

I cant even download a 1MB file. Its so slow that it times out at 5%.
