Author Topic: Petition on government site to stop ACTA  (Read 2541 times)

I'm sure you all know what ACTA is, and how it's threatening our free internet, and if you don't know just do some research on your own. But I recommend you all sign this petition. I believe it will far surpass the necessary amount of "signatures", but the fact that it's a petition on a government site gives it more meaning and more weight.

Is this one open for anyone outside of America to sign?

It says they need 25,000 by Feb 20th. 3 days in and it has 17,000 signatures. I think it will hit the 25,000 goal lol.

What bothers me is ACTA is international. Basically, even if we got all of the US against it, what's to keep the rest of the world from going "forget you." and doing it anyway?

If we don't sign it, it doesn't apply to that nation.
