Less government in a time when we need a more efficient, powerful government? Excellent!

Now why exactly do we need more government? Gimmie a good answer for that? Then is never a time when we need a powerful government.

Yes there is. In a time when corporations are growing more and more powerful over a people struggling in an economical recession, when global climate change is soon going to ravage our coastal cities and create erratic weather patterns, and when global threat of rogue nations is a threat to every citizen of the United States, we need a government that we can control, but has more power to fix the issues that have been created over the years by an imperfect bureaucratic system that needs renovation and reform.

And check-mate.

Except that rogue nation is the US.

Oh my loving god.

This is in response to all your posts.

Seriously, what nation do you find better than the U.S?

There's no such thing as better fully. The US has it's pros and cons, as does every other nation.

Well, it's fairly hard to be worse than it. But, for example, let's see you list why the US is superior to, say, Denmark.

ron paul is tribal and kind of an idiot imo

Massive industrial power. Strongest military in the world. Innovations and inventions that have vastly improved humanity for the better and worse. Diplomatic relations forged across the world, including with Denmark. An upstart nation that within 200-300 years has created a more powerful civil body than any other nation on the face of the planet. Etc.

What has your Denmark done?

What has your Denmark done?
Annoyed me on my Swedish campaign.

Annoyed me on my Swedish campaign.
I was about to add that. :D

"Besides being a stick up Sweden's ass."

Deleted it because I doubted he would understand. :/

Annoyed me on my Swedish campaign.
Don't take it out on Norway please.

Also Osasis if we increased the power we also increase the probably of becoming a Facist/Socialist state. That doesn't mean we could somehow limit, if not make it a crime for big corporations to "donate" to politicians. The US Government was made to protect the rights of its citizens, fund the construction of schools and roads, run the military, and run the post office. While lobbying has its evils, it has some good. Its a mess either way if we let it continue to exsist or end it.

Look at how government has expanded way too much into our lives both state and federal.  Sales tax, income tax, gas tax, fat tax, tabaccoo tax, sin tax, ect. Then there's ACTA, PIPA, SOPA, Child Online Protect ACT, NDAA, Patriot Act, and other corporation and extremist bullstuff that comes out the mouths of those vipers in the office.

How do you propose the government finds the money to run the strongest military in the world, build roads across an expansive network of cities and highways, build public utility buildings such as schools and other places that they then must employ people to work at, etc?

Tax is necessary, but a better system would be one that allowed us to choose where our tax money goes, whether a teacher wants to put her money back into education, or a military veteran wants to put his tax money into the military. It'd be an ultimate democratic move in my opinion, a statistical nightmare, but nonetheless.

Dmitry Medvedev for president
