this is at 1360 x 768 fullscreen maximized windowed mode with graphic options set to high, farthest viewing distance without any mods, and staring straight at a mountain

hardly unplayable, get a real computer  :cookieMonster:
i get like 600 on the fastest settings you must get like 1000 or some stuff

Directx says that there's no problems. Printscreen is forgeted on my computer so I can't do that. So you think it's just the computer?

Minecraft is unplayable for most people because Mojang is incompetent at everything
That, and Java is an unpredictable piece of stuff.

If you keep getting the run time error for Minecraft download the 64 bit version of Java.

Does it help framerate? Because that's my only problem.

it should

It's probably your graphics card or a CPU bottleneck. If printscreen doesn't work can you just tell me what it says under the "display" tab?

Also, are your drivers updated?

lowest settings I could find:

you were off by 166 lol

Run a source game on high. Play this stuff fest and can't walk 5 seconds with ass getting forgeted

uh no the problem is that it's integrated lol

upon a quick google search I can tell you that it's not a very powerful chip

also it's from at least 2007, since this review I'm reading on it came out in 2007.

are you on a desktop or a laptop?

get yourself a full graphics card, it'll do you well. I die a little inside when I hear desktops using integrated graphics (older chipsets, anyway) are being used for gaming lol :c

here's a graph comparing your integrated graphics to other cards
here is a list of high-end GPUs (wait why did the 580 beat the 6990 lol)

the GPU I have is the first one on that list (GTX 580). don't let that chart fool you though, there are better cards on the market. however the GTX 580 is currently the second fastest single GPU card in the world (beat only by the currently unstable 7970)

my point is you should aim for a GPU on that list of high-end ones.

Hold on guys, it appears that my monitor is hooked up to a pile of stuff. Thanks C:

My last computer was an absolute piece of crap and I was able to run Minecraft pretty well with the video settings they added recently.

Meaning that I was able to tun Minecraft on my old computer by optimizing, not loving maxing games out.

pretty much, sorry

however, I'll leave you with this thread where our helpful friend Ethan could help you find a nice GPU!
