Get your music off there ASAP.  You never know if it's going to forget up again.

Every once in a while I put my music on my portable hard drive and delete it off the computer.
Plus my family removes it

Copying music to computer

Gonna put it on my other mp3 player

Upload your music to Google Music.  It can hold up to 20,000 songs and they just added the ability to download your music back to your computer from the cloud.  Even if you don't use the music player, it makes a great online backup.

start buying vinyls, you'll never lose your music if you drop it in the stuffter

start buying vinyls, you'll never lose your music but if you drop it will shatter
fixed

I once dropped my PSP in a large puddle and it was completely underwater for about 5 seconds. First thing I did was ripped the battery pack out and set it in the sun for the next week without even thinking about using it. Worked fine afterwards. So long as it isn't on to cross the current it's okay. I would recommend the same next time you drop something in the toilet.

I dropped my phone in the toilet a while back.

sucks man.

fixed
you're thinking of shellacs
dropped vinyl doesn't usually shatter, and if you're not a dumbass you won't drop your records
i've dropped a record once and it played and sounded fine on the side it landed on

In school they give us these creepmeters. You have to wear it for a week and log every day how many steps you took. If you break it/lose it you have to pay 15 dollars for it.
I dropped mine in the toilet and said "forget that stuff, ain't reaching in there" and flushed it. I later found a creepmeter on the ground in school.
COINCIDENCE?
yes.
