Author Topic: [SEMI-50x40] TRILOS IV - SPACE? YOU TELL ME [ACT 1]  (Read 45402 times)

You fashion a decent weapon with one of the pieces of metal and tie one of the blades to it. It's not much, but it'll last you until you can get a proper weapon.

It sounds like the fighting outside is slowing down a bit. It might by okay to head out, but you should probably wait until Tristan and Stojanow give you the okay signal.

What now?

You take a look over the little barrier, if you can even call it that. The two of them seem to holding out pretty well, and it looks like the fight's almost over.

Make sure nothing's creeping up on you, because there always is.

You look behind you and find nothing out of the ordinary.

You step outside to see that the fight is apparently over. An eerie silence hangs over the town, and you get the feeling that something is about to go horribly wrong.

You look up as you hear the groan of metal supports. Above you, one of the buildings is about to fall onto you, Stojanow, and Tristan. Tristan notices it as well, and starts to run, only to be stopped by tripping. Stojanow ignores this and runs past him, getting as far away from the building as possible.

You figure you can't just leave him, so you drag Tristan as far away from the soon to fall building as you can. You barely get him far enough away from the building, but you're both soon enveloped in thick dust. You and him break into a fit of coughing, and you can feel Tristan trying to get up.

You can't see anything except Tristan in the thick dust. What now?

Crouch by his side, hold your weapon out, and make sure nothing is gonna KILL YOU.
Also, please don't burn me. I'm a friendly Satanist wizard.

You're about to give the command for your character when Navaro notifies you that the break is already over.

Well, that sure went quickly.

You and your party are currently being called to the Military area, but it's not about the TNMS. It's something about a suit system that Deceb Zetra gave them, and the researchers think you might find it rather useful?.

Well?

Pay the military a visit, obviously.

You get up and walk towards the door, and your party follows you.

"What do you think they'll have there?" Lia asks cheerfully, skipping down the halls behind you, Navaro, and Stojanow.

You give a shrug, but it's Stojanow who answers. "Perhaps it's something like that mech suit Deceb wore when she was after us?"

You give a slight frown. "That might be a bit difficult to handle," you say.

Now it's Stojanow who shrugs. "We'll see."

You enter in your identification number at the entrance to the Military Research Area, and the thick metal doors slide open, letting you and your party enter. A researcher seems to be waiting for you in the hall.

"Ah, there you are," he gives a small grin, fixing the silver-rimmed glasses on his face. "Follow me, I think you're going to like what you find." He turns and walks a ways down the hall, and the four of you follow him.

The man walks into a room with a large metal table. On it sits four strange-looking devices. "There are the suit units that we replicated from Deceb's own. Of course, we changed a few things, and each of these are designed to fit your needs. For example, Lia's allows high agility and has a built in healing system." He pauses to fix his glasses again. "They're each color-coded to your usual uniforms, so you'll be easy to tell apart. And the good thing about you TAMS' uniforms is that the suits will have no trouble fitting in!"

He must mean the built in padding on your uniform. He's right anyways, the suits will probably be right at home on you. "So what do they do? What do they come with?" you ask, walking towards the table and picking up a dark green and charcoal grey one.

The researcher smiles a bit. "Well, they each have three different forms, each of them will go perfectly with your system settings. The first is a lightweight suit, good for when you need to be stealthy or when you don't really want to get out of the suit but want to remain comfortable. The second is an actual combat suit. It's heavier than the first, but there are built-in systems to aid you in movement."

"I'd assume it has weapons?" Stojanow asks as he walks over to you and stands by you.

"Oh yes, yes, several weapons. You can have dual guns, melee weapons, or even a bomb-proof shield." The researcher seems overly happy about his work, but you don't really mind. He clears his throat before continuing. "And the third suit is similar to a mech. It's quite a bit bigger and heavier than the second suit. We prefer to call it 'landmate' instead of 'mech' though. It's very heavily armored and comes with incredibly powerful weapons as well."

You nod slowly, but there's still something you want to ask. "How does the whole shifting process work?"

The researcher's face turns serious. "We aren't entirely sure where the device gets the resources for the form shifts," he admits, fixing his glasses yet again. They seem to have a habit of sliding down his nose. "But it is truly spectacular to watch it. Actually, you could go ask Deceb to explain it all, she's the one who created the system."

You're silent, thinking this over. The last thing you want to do is go have a chat with that lunatic, but if she hasn't managed to get out yet, then it might be okay to see her. What now?

>Go have a chat with DCB then.
