Author Topic: Firefox history deleted, I need help  (Read 880 times)

So today I was going to visit my own yt channel to look through my favourite videos. I always type "chan" to get to the channel, as the URL automatically drops down in the address bar. However, when I tried it today, nothing happened. Apparently all of my Firefox history prior to today is gone.

I really need to fix this. I can't access any of the unlisted videos I've been sent anymore, and it's a pain in the ass to search on YouTube to see my favourites.

I haven't changed any settings whatsoever. Everything was perfectly fine yesterday.

That happened with my safari aswell
OFFTOPIC: get on steam assdfsdf

Do you have your email synced to firefox? Maybe you got logged out somehow.

ask for the links again

it's your history, if you visit them frequently it shouldn't be too hard  to get it back

If it's deleted, I don't think you can do anything about it.
I don't know if Firefox stores it in a temporary place or anything after deletion.

Do you have any other siblings?
They might have been looking at something they shouldn't have. :3

But, unfortunately, you'll just have to find things manually.
Does it continue to delete things, say, if you quite firefox and open it up again?
If so, you might have toggled the auto-delete on somehow, or not even done it yourself. Mines deleted mine everytime I close firefox since I first downloaded it onto this PC. Never selected it. Could undo it, but I can't be bothered.

I was on Firefox at 1 AM and went to sleep. Everything worked fine then, and I changed no settings. I just closed it and turned my computer off.

Stop deleting your research history?

Go get google chrome?

Chrome is terrible.

Just check if it's set to auto-delete.
Click Tools, then click Options.
It should open up on the Security Tab, but if not, just select that.
Near to the bottom of the page the option "Clear history when Firefox closes" should be available.
If it's checked, then just uncheck it.

This is why you shouldn't get new browsers. IE is enough.

But it not a good browser for deleting your history without bringing along a malicious entity!

uh
go to youtube.com
log in
it's really easy, it has nothing to deal with your browser's history
