Games for Windows Live is a motherless whore.

I got a free copy of DiRT 3 with my new graphics card. Once installed on Steam, it won't open.
I found out this is because I don't have Games for Windows Live. Fair enough, I install it.

The game opens. On the main menu, it tells me that I can't save my progress without creating an account. It then says I have to minimise the game. 'How bad can that be?' I think to myself.
There is NO OPTION to put the game back into full screen mode. Which means I have to play my game with these annoying bars around the side.

So I have nearly created an account. Because of my age, I have to enter my mothers email. It then tells me to log in.

For some bizarre reason, I have to enter my mother's email again. Apparently my mother is a child according to Microsoft. And now I can't save my game.

Thanks a loving bunch Microsoft, for adding a completely pointless service which actually makes a game WORSE.

i figured out my mom's live account (note: she only uses it for managing my account, so technically it's mine) so i change the parent's account and i was like B).

i'm gonna disable that stuff, hold on ;D.

I admit, GWL is bothersome, but I came to terms with using it. Attempt to make another account, I had similar problems when I made my first one.

i never could get red faction guerrilla to play multiplayer because gfwl would crash when logging into my xbox live account.

I hate playing games in fullscreen,you cant tell what time it is when your in fullscreen unless the game has a built in clock,I hate games that force fullscreen,its as bad as games that force you to use the arrow keys a z and x or something.

My Xbox Live account should say I'm 18 now, but I believe if I hit the relinquish parental requirement button, I'll get more advertisements than a Superbowl commercial break. I have the passwords any all, anyway. We only set it up because they asked.
