tell that to tony's dog
look
he's gonna say
"well, he was insulting ME, a HUMAN BEING. tony's dog was a mindless animal."

I know that steam should keep all of your saves in the steam cloud, so that should be good

really? That would be awesome

and about how much might the data recovery cost? Just like a general guess even would be ok

i know for sure that it happens for all the valve titles, can't make any promises on the other ones though

look into drivesavers, if your dad is paying for it

It's not an easy thing to get someone to 'leave you alone' on an internet forums.

Yeah, okay.

It was a loving tribute to his dog - I have already said this.

well, it wouldn't be far off to say you've got a skewed view of love.

probably the main reason you've never said a single kind thing to anyone, yoga.

in the future, consider investing in an SSD
they are superior in every way, as well as being more forgiving when it comes to falling

IUV is far from perfect

in fact, i'd say he's the polar opposite of perfect.
Sorry if I wasn't clear.
I would never defend him unless his character completely reversed.

As long as the platter that holds the information isn't damaged, it's possible to recover the data.

It is perfectly correct.

Why do you keep calling me yoga?

Why are you assuming I would ever want your defense?

That's a silly thought.

an SSD makes sense for storing the OS and applications that need quick access.

Hard drives makes more sense for external hard drives because they are cheaper by the gigabyte and the data will stay longer without power of any kind

a 256GB SSD costs ~$600

yoga.
if you mean yoga as in yogamoanyo then it's not him
trust me

That's the worst thing ever to lose the harddrive. :C

I'm definitely planing on getting something as a backup if I get my stuff back

if I don't get it back I don't feel like I'll really be using my computer much for a long time

But an SSD doesn't use a physical disk to store information, so impacts will likely not destroy it unless it breaks it in half.

Just keep your external hard drive somewhere where it can't be knocked down easily and you can save 90%
