Author Topic: Should I make a dagger?  (Read 3712 times)

Obsidian is sharp, but it's still glass.
It's really brittle and would be terrible as a dagger and difficult to craft into an actual weapon.
but what about the Aztecs

They never made daggers out of obsidian. Knives? Sure. Knives used for fighting? Noooooo.

yes, but a solid piece of obsidian would break in battle.

Put it in a dark room and shine a black light on it.

If it glows, dispose of immediately.

SERIOUSLY?

HOLY stuff.

i have no hope for this generation.
I thought it meant it was Depleted Uranium.

Depleted Uranium bullets.  Anti-Armor.  Not cheap.

Not Obsidian.  It's not glasslike.  It has some evidences of melting down before, which means it could be either volcanic rock, metiorite, or high-carbon iron.  (However, there is no rust on these rocks)

When it is cracked open is is shiny black, but looking at angles of any of the broken faces may reflect anywhere from orange to indigo light from a white light.

I might send it to a university nearby that can run chemical tests.

Its probably obsidian.

Uh

you're

...

kind of late.

Yea, I realized that. But whatever.

I have some obsidian too.  Obsidian is slightly transparent.  This is shiny and not transparent at all.
