Author Topic: How the hell do you write a Disc? (Jokes are now invalid)  (Read 1059 times)

i bet you're not using a dvd.
you need to have the space.
It's a 700MB CD, not a DVD, and Puppy Linux requires 131MB of space. Sorry for not clarifying in the OP. Also, I'm going to try it on a flash drive real quick.

buy a copy of mw3 and record over it.
that game's like 13gb you KNOW there'll be space
you'd need a blu-ray disc drive though

i want to record over a mw3 game with tons of gay research, then put it in he original box, seal it up, and leave it at a game stop or something. when some stupid 12 year old buys it hilarity will ensue.

Well, now I've got time to kill, seeing as a 4x burn speed is extremely slow.

jack off

stuff, would still forget to set the speed to 4.

This is a nightmare, where is Ethan when you need him?

What the forget, I select to burn it at 4x but it says it's hovering at 8x

Now I'm trying plain Ubuntu and even though the file is about 5x bigger, my ISP is being very lenient with download speeds. I only have 4 minutes left.

Alright, the system recognizes there is a new drive, but when I try to boot from them, they say there is nothing valid on them.

Roxio Burn always worked for me. I don't remember how I got it but it was very useful. This isn't great advice, but I recommend it.

use a disk image burner, not a data disk burner.  When you burn an ISO, the final product should be a CD that has files and folders you can explore.  If its just the ISO on the CD, you're doing it wrong
