There is a dead crab in Bioshock.

If you go to Olympus Heights in one of the apartments there is a dead girl in the bathroom tub. Well for some reason there is a dead crab upside down in the tub.

I keep thinking it's apart of some easter egg or something. I haven't seen a crab at all in this entire game (except for the crab sign) so it was kind of weird seeing a dead crab in a bathtub for the first time. Does anyone know if the dead crab has any significance? I find it weird that the developers would randomly put a crab there and nowhere else, unlike the dead cats.

The only time you see a crab in this game is a prop. Such as a sign or museum display. Which is weird because you figure for an underwater city there would be more aquatic life.

But there is a real crab randomly in a tub with a dead girl.

There's crabs on the bottom of the sea. Besides the people of rapture are not allowed to reach the surface. There must be a few crab farms on the bottom of the sea.
