I dont get where you're getting at with that. In 2D everything is flat so yes Y is up, in the 3rd Dimension Z is up.

Its not rearranging.
"There are two axis systems. "Right hand" and "Left hand". Google is your friend.
Blender is creative based, not construction based. In this vision we see "depth" as something forward, not as "up". In 'normal' life UP can be regarded as height so that would be the -Z axes.
I think you will find that older packages use Z as the axis moving away from you, like in spreadsheets, X to the right, Y up and Z the pages.

I thought the whole matrix reconstruction by Martin was done to make Axis swapping possible, but I'm not sure what the status on that is. "

You're saying it's XZY you don't skip Z go to Y then go back to Z. I doubt you even read the wiki so I'm just going to link you again. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cartesian_coordinate_system#In_three_dimensions

Attempting to get back on topic: If you could do that thing to record where you spawned this could be really useful. Maybe also some keybinds so you can "mark" a particular location.

Make a version with an UI and a basic arrow showing waypoints you can set, then you can have my babies.

Also, just forget the axes, and write "Height", "Horizontal 1", "Horizontal 2" or something like that, or you'll be getting thread derails because of the axis problems phoreva.

Don't worry, you can stay a virgin a little while longer, aside from the height/horizontal thing I have no idea how to do that.

The thing tries to get your object when your not in a game. The error is just unable to get object.
