Author Topic: I am sad my friends don't get references.  (Read 1880 times)

My friend references memes and doesn't know what memes are, I don't even..

One time my friend got it

Then I took an arrow to the knee

> In class
> Friend says "me gusta"
> All my other friends + me get it

:cookieMonster:

some derpgirl that seems like she has no idea there's anything else beyond facebook on the internet went "me gusta" once
maybe it's because all the gob damn RAGECOMICs

Yes so much. I only really know 1 kid that's actually like me (Internet nerd) and he goes to a different school.

>Talk to sister about gifs
>"Why do you know about gifs have you been on tumblr?"

I guess I'm one of your friends

I don't get the reference

I headdesked so hard that now my desk is broken in half.

I guess I'm one of your friends

I don't get the reference
dissapoint

It's sad...  However, people at my school are all nerds (inclusive to myself; I am not ashamed), so about 1/16th of the student body knows this reference.

im sad how family guy uses many old pop culture references that this generation thinks came from family guy...

›Someone shouts SAY WHAAAT! over and over again like Ghandi.
›A friend asks the guy if he saw Clone High.
›He says "what the hell is that, umm it's from family guy!!!"

I hate when stupid people understand references. Either they blatantly shout them at each other or they believe it's some sort of secret club.

For example, I have both a trollface shirt and an MLP shirt. I enjoy wearing them because I am able to meet people that share common interests, so that's cool. However, I am compelled to burn them when people feel compelled to  spew memes and tales of the internet in an attempt to "impress" me.

i've actually made "cna i b doge" references before as jokes with the intended purpose of nobody getting it
me too
i got a bunch of "what the forget?!"s
lolo
