Author Topic: Why don't people bitch about middle aged men watching anime?  (Read 1088 times)

It's basically the same thing as watching MLP when you're a teenager. I mean i guess they aren't as annoying as bronies are, but i really don't understand.

Could somebody explain it to me?

some people do
they call those middle aged men weeaboos

people bitch about things, let them bitch. it makes them feel better.

if you honestly care about who watches what shows you are loving handicapped and immature

Because some anime is targeted to everyone, the reason people bitch about bronies is because of the pink, fluffy environment of the show tips off that it is targeted at younger audiences.

MLP is something for little girls, but Friendship is Magic was made in a way that people of varying ages would enjoy it (i think)

This is not the case with anime, it's just a bunch of shows like any other, though there are some girly animes like Mew Mew Power, Magical DoReMi, and Winx Club for example, Madoka Magica's story is based around girls, but it's more action-y and violent, so it's not the best example of a girly show

Why don't people bitch about women watching Star Wars?

because I haven't seen a weeaboo flaunt his flamboyant stuff around in a while.

The age range for most anime is around 14 to 17, its not really based for everybody.

I don't think a 12 yearold child would understand anime as well as an older person, hell...I even have a hard time understanding what the loving is going on.

This. It applies to bronies, as well.

I understand anime pretty well.

I'm locking this, i fear it might start up some debate and become a spam topic.
