The Day The Music Died
On this day, 53 years ago, three rock n' roll legends, Buddy Holly 22, Ritchie Valens 17, JP Richardson "The Big Bopper 28, died in an airplane crash about one mile north of Clear Lake Iowa. It was a tragic loss, and a big closing to the american Rock'n'roll era. As a tribute, and for educational purposes, I built the scenery.

Feel free to rate x/10.

I know it's just a pile of bricks, but I wanted to play tribute to these fine men.

Well, you clearly respect them.

I, Never have known these man, but every life of a human means a lot of me.

Rest, In, Peace... Humans.

Your field, (Even though obviously duplicated) has a charm.

A charm? Lol.

Nice build, nice tribute
but that doesn't look like a plane crash in the least.
American Pie FTW

Single- or dual-pilot planes can disintegrate into small pieces, leaving only the fuselage somewhat intact. The fuselage itself can be easily crumpled.

That explains it.
I'll bet the rest of the plane is somewhere else. It would have to be an ultralight aircraft for a pile of rubble that small.
edit - conan, that's not true. But fires can destroy much of the plane. I guess their could have been a fire with the real one, but I see no evidence of anything large enough to make the plane disappear. Without fire:

I hope you realise it depends on how the plane hit. Buddy Holly's hit an an angle, almost sideways, according to witnesses, and rolled until it hit the fence.

= debris spread along this rolling path, disintegrating the wings

I'll ask God that when I die :o
