Heh, I took a 3D animation class with Bryce 6, I believe. My sophomore year.

Is this for sale free for a little while or will it always be available?

Giving away software is free for them. It's better than paying for advertising, and probably more effective.

The same reason that Autodesk hands out full versions of their software for free and why Adobe doesn't really care about piracy of their products to an extent.

When people learn how to use some software suite and get comfortable with it they will want to use it in their professional careers as well. If you hire ten people who all know how to use Photoshop or AutoCAD then you buy the software license for that, and that's where the real money comes from for these companies.

Just installed all of it. No idea what any of it does, but I'm sure I'll figure it out.

I already own hexagon and daz. but bryce i can settle for.
