Author Topic: Is blockland a toy or is it like rayman?  (Read 2297 times)

I actually agree with Lord Tony on this thread. It even said on the Blockland site, "It's like playing with Legos on the Internet."

I'm happy to accept the fact that our Blockheads look like Raymen just because they do.

I see both sides, but I like the fact that there is much that could never be duplicated in Legos that is in Blockland and vice versa. They aren't the same, and shouldn't be treated as such. However, in the case of the bicycle, I agree with Tony, not for the reason of looking like Legos, but for simplicity.

Its based on legos but that doesn't mean every single loving detail has to be like them.

I don't see why anything should be a problem, as long as people are having fun.

However, anything unsuiting (high poly, smoothshaded, etc) should seriously consider revision.

Take out the decal nose, put in the mouth and have someone model a nose to fit on the minifig.

It will look like Ray man.

Hatmod + nose/ears headpiece = profit

it's not toys.

but realistic crap looks bad.

Hatmod + nose/ears headpiece = profit

I could possibly try that, but, I don't know when and if I'll get to it today.

Lego Ray man.

How about both? :cookieMonster:

It's just another sandbox game.

If you go look at earlier versions of the game, it's OBVIOUSLY based on legos. Hell, Eric almost got a sponsorship deal with lego, but it fell through.

It's not a toy or a rayman. It's a way of life.

I think anyone that thinks that Blockland should be one or the other is wrong.
Blockland is whatever you want it to be, and to me, its a great game. Doesn't matter of like a 'toy' or like 'Rayman'. Just play the game.

Exactly.

Though, some things shouldn't be used.

Blockland is somehow the only game with floating arms and legs that I don't find horrid-looking.
Probably because the limbs are fixed as if there were invisible arms and legs.

It was based of lego. But we all know that all copyrighted material was removed before retail. It's kinda like saying megablocks is the same thing as lego. They're very similar, but if you say they're the same I will rip your larynx out.
