I suppose. But it's not a negative stereotype. Stereotypes aren't inherently bad. For example, if you were at a gay club, would you hit on an attractive guy you saw there? I can't speak for you, but if everything was right I would. And how do you know he's gay? You infer it from where he is. That's stereotyping.

which is a hell of a lot different from "oh he's wearing a scarf, he must love richard"
unless a guy is wearing a shirt that says "IM GAY/BI/STRAIGHT" you cannot tell his loveuality from what he's wearing
