I like doing lost rp's etc and without terrain maps it will end, you cant get the same ammount of smoothness with blocks AGAISNT

but there's a new era starting up!

Exactly. A new era is what we need for Blockland to go out of this world.

This is so stupid, why should I care about bedroom anymore. You ever heard of "friends come and go"? The bedroom is one of your friends, and its going,so shut up about this damn thing altogether.

Just let Blockland get better.
Just let it.

If people leave because of the update. It is not a loss, because then they are probably idiots anyways.

Just try to be not to be so selfish for a minute. Think of people who will loving hate the soon small-lettered blockland becose they don't have the skill, time, or patience to build a big terrian map. And think of big mappers like GSFGhost who worked hard for months if not years on making those epic maps.

Just made me like V21.
I think all we can do with GSFGhost is to make a statue, and remember the fun they gave us.

Blockland has forgeted us again.
Lol, "again," you're full of crap.  Go away now.

Edit:  You've got a 30k ID, you've only been here for a version or two AT MOST.  You don't even know what "again" means.

I wish there was some way to combine. But according to Kompressor, there isnt.
There is, but they are too stubborn to let the community help.

As long as you take a step backward before you step forward, you're not going anywhere.

Unfortunately, blockland is stuck in that sort of limbo.

We didn't have any updates for a year, then got a development section to the forums, and then Kompressor changes everything. So much for limbo.

I'm not sure what everybody's trying to figure out. Why not:

Have the new shader'd Blockland without interiors automatically start when you load one of the new maps
have a window/tab that shows "legacy" BL maps that loads without the new fancy shaders and things like that.

If Kompressor can completely rewrite the shaders in Torque Game Engine Advanced, of all things, then I'm sure there's a way to switch between two shader models. This coming from a guy who has experience with TGEA and T3D.

It's not worth it.

all the people against it are just lazy to build things

really i don't know what is so appealing about jagged spikes and glitchy ground

Personally, I haven't used Bedroom, Kitchen, or The Slopes in a very long time, so nothing to lose in my case. I use Slate edits and just build everything. Being a building game, I'd imagine this is the logical evolution. Maps are just a throwback to the old days of Blockland. I might miss a couple of the maps just because of nostalgia (GSF maps, for instance), but I welcome something new after seventeen-odd full versions.

The step forward is bigger than the step backwards.
